My hardest thing to do is standing up and talking in front of people like we did today, has anyone else experienced this? I really enjoyed meeting new people today and learning of their experiences in
their libraries. I found out there is different levels of experience between us which I think is good,
since we can help each other.
Hi! I really enjoyed meeting you today. Like you, I am so thrilled to be in a class with such skilled professionals who have so much to share. Check out my blog. I interviewed a really sharp library director and wrote about her. Gail
ReplyDeleteI also think that speaking in front of large groups is difficult. In fact, I used to find it terrifying. However, I have overcome that fear through practice and finding opportunities to just get out there and try it.
ReplyDeleteStanding up in front of people and talking has always been one of the hardest things for me. I have gotten a little better with it but still find myself wanting to hide under the table.
ReplyDeleteBeing in front of people can be a very stressful thing for me too. I love to meet new people but I really hate being the center of attention. Being the manager of a library is a public role, so I am working on trying to be more comfortable in a crowd. I guess most of us struggle with this!
