Amazing lady

Today I met a most amazing lady. We struck up a conversation and I found out her name was Gail.
She likes meeting new people and talking to them she said. She was telling me about being here at the inn last year with her husband on a motorcycle.
She had gotten up early and was walking around  when she saw the door to the third floor suite was open. She was just going to peep inside and take a look when the people inside saw her. They invited her to join them for breakfast. They didn't know she wasn't a professional massage therapist but she had told them she was just out riding her motorcycle. She enjoyed meeting these people and hearing their stories about their work.
I asked her about her career and she said she was a library director for a library in East Tennessee. I told her I was also a librarian  and we talked about our jobs for awhile.
I asked her what her ideal job would be if she could choose and her answer was her dream job would be to write a travel blog about all the exciting places that she would visit on a massive travel budget. She said one of the most weirdest things she had ever eaten was on one of her trips was snails in butter garlic.
I hope that our friendhip can continue after this week.

  1. You are doing a great job. You don't seem nervous or scared. Thank you for being here for me during this week. I don't know if I could do this by myself.

  2. I love this story. I had the wonderful experience of getting to hear this story myself as well. I have to say I may be in the market for a motorcycle now. Especially if I will be receiving such vast and worldly knowledge from such colorful people.

  3. That is wonderful that you are open enough that you meet a person at the park and made a new friend.I hope you keep the friendship going. Next year when we are back here for the second week you'll have to share if you are still in touch with Gail.
